In 1980 I built a small fire in a drainage tunnel under some rail road tracks.

When the smoke hit the ceiling… dozens of spiders repelled down – sending me
into the freak out scramble.

Around midnight 1981 I was riding shotgun up Hwy. 61 through middle Mississippi. Staring out the window of a 1979 full size custom Dodge van and daydreaming of a possible scenario where I was Somehow transported instantly into the cold woods.At this point I would imagine finding my bearings just in time to see the tail lights speeding out of sight through the slats of thick trees... I was eleven.

Young area of Memphis, Tn. for a while. I received word from Northern California
back across to the east coast that he had recently passed away.
I did not know his name.
